Some of the things we have been studying in class to be better acquainted with the book, Native Son, are Socratic seminars. In these seminars our teacher Ms. P gives us a theme in a form of a question, then the class has a discussion without her. We then speak about the book in relation to the question, which then leads to more questions asked within the discussion. We also did reading response questions where Ms.p gave us a set of questions and we had to read the book in order to answer them.
